Getting Off the Roller Coaster of Dental Fear

Got a horrible fear of going to the dentist? So much so that you avoid going, even though you know you should?

Well, you’re not alone. Many people fear—even downright abhor—going to the dentist. As you can imagine, fear is the source of many conditions that need attention only getting worse. So along with that, the treatment gets worse, too—WAY worse than if you had just gone in the first place! It’s a scary and expensive roller coaster to be on, so it kicks you right in the bank account, too. Not good.

But I’m here to tell you that you CAN get off the roller coaster of dental fear once and for all! And all you need to do? (Ah! Wait for it…) Jump off that roller coaster, give me a call, and take a ride instead…to my office.

How do you know I can get rid of your dental fears? Well, let me share a past experience one of my very loyal and (now long-time) patients had before she became a patient.

Kathy entered our treatment room visibly shaking. She was petrified of coming to the dentist and had avoided doing it for as long as she could. Now her front tooth was bothering her, and she had to address it.

First, we sat and talked in my private office.  Kathy shared with me her concerns and fears, and I listened. We discussed my approach to helping her so she could complete the necessary treatment.

After a time, Kathy said she sensed she had found someone she could trust, someone who would listen to her. She was willing to move forward and proceed to the next step. She admitted it had been a long time coming, but she was thrilled to have found my office. I knew (perhaps what she did not at the time) she was on the road to a beautiful and healthier smile.

We provided treatment for Kathy’s cavities. We gave her orthodontic braces to properly align her teeth. We are now in the final stages of completing her new healthy and beautiful smile. This treatment has changed her self-image and her personality immensely, and she now loves to smile. It even led to a career change over time, due in large part to her increased self-confidence.

So what made the difference? I like to think that by taking the time necessary to develop a trusting relationship with Kathy and letting her know that I (and my caring staff) were there for her, I was able to help her move forward with treatment. I took the time to listen to her fears and concerns, and that, along with my extensive dental experience, gained her trust. I addressed her concerns, one by one, and I was able to provide positive and successful treatment and results.

I love working with patients who are fearful of dental treatment and making a difference in their lives. Kathy’s life changed in a positive direction because of my patient and attentive approach.

If you have a fear of the dentist or dental treatment, let me show you how YOU can achieve the same results as Kathy did. I’ll help you all the way. Contact me and give me a call today. Together, we’ll get you off that roller coaster of dental fear!

Dr. Zanni and team are as good as it gets. Their receptionist - Ginny, is a true professional and a pleasure to deal with. The whole experience was absolutely painless and actually enjoyable (this is from someone whose had some bad dentist experiences at other places). Dr. Zanni truly cares about his clients, I felt comfortable and at home at his office and he will be my dentist for the long-haul. Thank you!
