Dental Crowns

The answer to your cosmetic dentistry needs

Actual Patient of Dr. Jerry Zanni’s: Before and After

Single Crown (Impression)

Filling Versus Crown (Impression)

If you have a tooth that is decayed, cracked, or fractured, a dental crown may be the solution for you. A dental crown can renew the life of a tooth, giving it strength and durability. It could be the long-term answer to a tooth with a poor or doubtful future and can last many years.

Some of the conditions for which a dental crown may work for you are:

  • large, worn, and failing fillings
  • worn and ground down teeth
  • weak and fragile teeth, or
  • cracked and fractured teeth.

Porcelain dental crowns provide strength and beauty to your teeth

Although there are different types of crown materials, one of the best is life-like porcelain which, in some instances, is reinforced with hidden metal underneath to give it extra strength. If your dental crown needs to be supported underneath by an implant, instead of by the natural root, we will discuss that choice for you.

If all-porcelain crowns end up being your best option, rest assured that I can match the shade of the tooth and neighboring teeth quite accurately. Quite often, if you didn’t know which tooth had a crown, you would have trouble distinguishing it from your other teeth.

Once the procedure is complete, you will feel more confident when you leave my office, with your teeth restored to their original beauty, health and strength!

Your comfort and results are my top priority

Your comfort during this process is of utmost importance to me. A dental crown can be placed quite quickly and easily, with very little discomfort, and the entire procedure can usually be completed in two appointments.

Imagine walking out of my office with your confidence restored, completely comfortable and smiling again! This is always my aim, and I want you to feel 100% satisfied.

If you’d like to schedule a consultation to discuss the possibility of dental crowns, or any other cosmetic dentistry issue, I’d love to talk to you about how they can restore your teeth to their natural health, beauty, and function. Together, we will come up with the best dental treatment plan for you—one that works with your budget, your time, and your goals for better oral health.

Dr. Zanni has been my dentist since I moved back to Marblehead in 2000. I found him through a family friend, and I feel like I was very lucky. He and his staff are great! Right from my first appointment, he was very careful and identified all my dental problems. I needed a lot of work at first, and I have never regretted going through with all his recommendations as I am in far better shape with my teeth and oral health than I have ever been in my life. There have been times when I needed to go see a specialist and Dr. Zanni has sent me to equally professional and compassionate dental professionals. Not only has Dr. Zanni taken good care of my teeth, he and his wonderful staff do everything they can to create a warm and relaxing experience every time I go for appointments. I never feel nervous going to the dentist!
